James Greenwood

Dr James Greenwood is a practising small animal vet, author and television presenter and has been a StreetVet ambassador since 2019.

Originally from Yorkshire, James qualified from the University of Bristol in 2007. Since then, he has worked in both equine and small animal practice, although his work is now predominantly focused on small animal medicine.

James is delighted to be an ambassador for StreetVet, describing the charity as “the true guardians of animal welfare for those pets who need them most.”

“For me, StreetVet is a fantastic opportunity for vets to give back to their local community. There is something incredibly rewarding about using our veterinary skills in their simplest form — to help the animals that need us most.

StreetVet embodies what I believe being a vet is fundamentally about: protecting animal welfare and making sure that every animal has access to the care they need, regardless of their owner’s circumstances.

The number of animals StreetVet has supported since it began is testament to just how vital this service is — and I’m incredibly proud to be able to support the charity and the work it does.”

We are incredibly grateful for James’ continued support and his commitment to helping StreetVet reach and support more people and pets across the UK.
