I graduated as a vet from the Royal Veterinary College in 2000 and, after a short period in private practice, I decided my true calling was the charity sector. I joined Cats Protection in 2006 as their first Field Veterinary Officer, later becoming Head of Clinical Services. I then moved to the RSPCA, where I held a veterinary leadership role overseeing animal welfare advice and support. 

I am passionate about animal welfare and completed an MSc in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law in 2020. I have also volunteered with several companion animal and equine charities overseas. 

Now a self-employed animal welfare consultant, I am delighted having watched StreetVet grow over the years, to be part of the team as a trustee and support its vital work strengthening the human–animal bond.
