It is a real pleasure to join StreetVet as a trustee. I am a risk and compliance specialist by trade, currently working for the Disasters Emergency Committee. However, I first became aware of StreetVet when working for Battersea Dogs and Cats home for a few years, as their Risk Manager. Prior to my charity career I was at HSBC in various risk and compliance roles, and before that at the Foreign, Development and Commonwealth Office, in various policy roles.
In my personal time I do what I can to support other good causes, from volunteering for the LGBT+ homelessness charity Stonewall Housing, to being a trustee of another amazing charity called Gendered Intelligence, supporting the trans community.
At StreetVet, transparency is central to everything we do. We believe our supporters should clearly understand our work and how their generous donations are used. To uphold the charity’s integrity and ensure its effective governance, we are supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees made up of skilled and experienced individuals. Our trustees volunteer their time to guide and shape the future of StreetVet, ensuring our funds are used responsibly and that the wellbeing of both animals and people remains at the heart of every decision we make.
